Meath Purcells
My grandfather was Christopher Purcell was born in Meath in 1847 if the 1901 census (kildare) is right. I am interested in anything about the Purcells from that County, particularly if I can relate it to my family. ******If you wish to email paddym, Subscribe and use the Private Message (PM) links

walsh from meath
Ihave just joined and am seeking info on the WALSH family in Meath, no specific area known. James Walsh was born ca 1806/17 depending on certificates.Father Robert WALSH, Mother Alice CLARK. Died Timor,Victoria, Australia 1882 aged 75 years, Born County Meath. He married at Bathurst, NSW in 1840 with 13 children born, the 1st at Bathurst in 1842. I have checked the Griffiths Valuations on your site and only 4 Robert Walshs are listed.Robert was a storekeeper.
Any further info on these Walshs would be great, as I have hit the brick wall.
Regards Judy Walsh, NW Victoria, Australia.

Hands in Meath?
Hello. GGmother Eliza Hand (married John Leary in USA in 1852, New York). We have nothing to go on except the Hands may have come from Meath or Westmeath. The only info we have on her is Father is J. Hand. That's all, so we are really blind here. Hopefully, someone may know "something" about this family in ******If you wish to email hlearyo, Subscribe and use the Private Message (PM) links

Thomas Roe - County Meath
My great grandfather was Thomas Roe, married to Julia Commons. Their offspring were (I believe)
James b 1864
Thomas b 1867
Mary- Anne b 1869
Patrick Joseph (Rowe) b 1871 d 1943 (My Grandfather)
John Joseph b 1873
This is the total of my information on my paternal ancestors. I believe my Grandfather changed the spelling of his name, either on his arrival in Scotland, or on his marriage to my Grandmother, Christina McPherson in Inverness.
Any information that anyone could provide, or suggestions as to where to look for information would be much appreciated.
Many thanks in anticipation
Ann

Roberts
Hello, i am researching my family tree and know that 3 of my Great UNCLES ARE LISTED ON THE 1st World War Memorial in Down Patrick and that my Great Grandmother Amelia Roberts is noted by the Common wealth war graves commision to live in Church Street Down Patrick at that time. I also have a newspaper cutting from the Belfast NEWSLETTER 1925 where she is laying the wreath on that memorial but from their on in i am struggling, does anyone have any connection to them. My Great Granfather was Thomas Roberts and i believe the children were Amelia, Susan, Essie, William , Albert, John at least13/01/2009 7:30 pm
