Looking for any info regarding my ggg grandparents, James Gogarty and Mary Reilly Gogarty. James or Mary had a parent from the Brogan family. They were from Summerhill and had 8 or 9 children: Bryan, James, Rose, Margaret, Bridget, Patrick, Jane,Mary, and possibly Edward. Came to USA in 1856 on the ship Cultivator. Any help appreciated!
I know it's a long time since you posted this, are you still looking for information. My GGG grandfather, Nicholas, was a Brogan. His baptism records show he was the son of John Brogan and Bridget Donnelly and his sponsors were James Brogan and Bridget Gugerty. DOB 22/5/1828 He came to Australia in 1856. If this links with your records I would appreciate anything you have
there are reillys on the dublin irish national library reel no 4178. some were connected with the gaynors from 1825 to 1853 and there are probably others mentioned. the reel covers the area around the town of summerhill in Meath where my gaynors came from
