I am a descendant of Edward Kavanagh and Bridget (Byrne?)Kavanagh. They came from Leitrim, but lived in England for a time, and had three children there, Esther, Hugh, and Mary Ann, before emigrating to the US, where they had three more children. My grandmother (daughter of Hugh) had traced the family to Leitrim, and had visited family there in 1965, but her information has been lost. We would love to know more about the family, especially whether any family still lives there today.
