Martin family Wexford
Hi Margaret,
Dont have anything definite for you.. I do have a lot of info on the Martins of County Wexford who are mainly descended from a Quaker branch but most became Catholic in later generations.. I do know that one branch of these Martins lived in Wicklow at Myrtle Lodge. I do not know what happened to them..
As a coincidence, the principal christian names in my family are also Michael, John and James.. Dont know if we can help each other out but if you wish to make contact will see what info may be relevant or not... Regards Michael Martin, Wexford

RE: Martins of Wexford
This is probably more a message for you, Michael. I have a Patrick Martin (husband to Mary Murray) and daughter, Sarah Martin, from Enniscorthy in my family tree. Patrick was born 1825 there. You say you have a lot of information on the Martins in Wexford, so I wonder if you have any more light to shed on this family for me?
I have Patrick's army service record from 1854 -72, and a census return in England for him, but nothing about his parentage or family. Can you help me at all?
Best wishes,
Caroline
