I have just returned from Ireland after researching my Watts family. My Grandfather was born in 1870 in Fermoy County Cork he had other siblins. I have his birth registration and his brother Patricks from the GRO in Dublin. I found his name on the WW1 war memorial in Fermoy along with a WIlliam Watts (grandfathers name was RIchard) I cannot trace WIlliams birth which would have been about 1876. There parents were George Watts and Ellen Coleman who who married in 1860 in Fermoy. Both would have been born about 1843c. George was a soldier in the 85th Reg when he married. Could be have been born in England and moved to Fermoy with the army I don't think Watts is an Irish name and there were not many Watts registered at the GRO. As anyone any ideas?
