William Hogan born in Burgesbeg around 1815-1820
Hi I am looking for information on William Hogan a Farmer in Tipperary.William was born in Burgesbeg and was married to Mary (Bonfield). The number of children in this family was 10. William has been variously described as a Farmer [Martins Marriage Cert], and Quarry worker [Martins death certificate]. There are stories at this point unsubstantiated that William was killd in an accident in the quarry. 08/11/2008 1:57 am

hogan/bonfield
Hi -
I am researching my Bonfield ancestors and have met with the Hogan family adjoining the Bonfield holding at Gortmore townlands, about 5 miles from Nenagh County Tipperary....I think they are the Hogans you are looking for...that family can still be contacted by addressing your snail mail to them at Gortmore, Burgessbeg, Co. Tipp.
Best and a successful search.

William Hogan
Chris, It sounds like I may be related to you. I am researching Hogans from Burgesbeg too. William was my great great great grandfather. His son was Martin Hogan who had a son called Michael Francis Hogan born in Waimate, New Zealand. Are these people in your family tree too? If so, would love to get in touch. Re: William Hogan born in Burgesbeg around 1815-1820
Hello Chris, many thanks for your message. We have met your brother Allan when we lived in Tauranga. We replied to a letter that he circulated to the Hogan families in New Zealand.
Allan very kindly gave David his Family Tree (& we drank some of his wine.) The last we heard Allan was sailing the wide blue yonder.
I have been reading "Papers Past' segments hoping to find any info on Mary Cleave & Henry Hogan & Ellen ne Doherty.
I was hoping a family member would see my post.Thankyou.

Chris.
