I am trying to find out more information on a Thomas Power. I know that he married someone with the maiden name of Burke and they had at least one daughter, Johanna, born Feb 15, 1856. One report shows her possibly born in Carrick on Suir in Tipperary but another talks of her growing up in Dublin. Johanna sailed to the US in 1875 or early 1876 because she was later married to a John Higgins in 1876 in Minnesota. Johanna's father knew John Higgins because when John's first wife passed away, Thomas sent his daughter to marry him and help raise his children. Any information would be wonderful as this is a brick wall for me. Thank you!
