I'm researching the family of John S Gilbert, teacher at Methodist church School, Ballina, Co Mayo 1865 (ish) - ? (d.1906).

He married Elizabeth Cannon in 1856 in Belfast.

They had 10 Children, 7 born in Co Mayo:-

William Reilly Starkey Gilbert b. Mar 1870 Co Mayo - 1911 Pharmacy, Manorhamilton, Co Leitrim

Margaret Elizabeth Gilbert b. July 1872 - d.1874 Co Mayo

Thomas Cecil Gilbert b. Feb 1874 Co Mayo - went to London

Alfred Ernest Gilbert b. Nov 1875 Co Mayo - alive in 1911 but not traced whereabouts yet.

I am interested in any information about their time in Ballina.
