Searching for info of Edward O'Farrell born about 1800. Have info he married Mary, maiden name unknown. Possibly from Longford. Edward and Mary's children are: James E. birth 1828, John Wesley birth 1829, Rebecca Ann birth 1830, Franklin P. birth 1833, Newit birth 1835, Josiah birth 1837, Jasper (my gggrandfather) birth 1838, Mary Jane birth 1838, Calvin birth 1840, and Cynthia birth 1841. Looking for (Robert) Edward Keegan born Longford 1809. Son of Thomas Keegan & Catherine Ward.
Was a Private in 27th foot regiment. Tried Dublin Barracks 25/11/1833 - quitting post & stealing- 7 years. Sentenced 03 March 1834.Wife Jane at Longford. Embarked Cork on convict ship "Lady Kennaway" 20/2/1835, for New South Wales Australia. Granted Certificate of Freedom in Australia on 20 August 1841 after serving his 7 years. Remarried in Colony x3 times (as wives were deceased). Had 11 children between 1844 and 1967.
I am descended from his first born son in the Colony: William Henry Keegan 1844.
