Queen's Co. (county)
Patrick McDonald( 1846-1090, son of William (1812-1885) and Julia Whalen (1823-1890)came from Ballinakill, Co. Queens to upstate NY, by way of Canada. Other family members also came over, although not all at the same time. William's mother, Mary Kelly also came to America, but not his father, Patrick McDonald. Variants of the spelling of the last name inclue McDonnell and McDaniel.
