Hello, I am looking for the roots of my great great great grandmother, Margaret Brophy, born 14 Mar 1814 in Parksgrove, Co. Kilkenny, near the border of Tipperary. Her parents were Andrew Henry Brophy, who died before Margaret was born, and Catherine Carroll. I don't know anything more about Andrew H. Brophy or Catherine Carroll unfortunately- no dates, or parents names, or place names... However, this much I do know- Catherine accompanied her daughter Margaret and son John Andrew Brophy (who married Rebecca Rawlins) to America in 1828. Margaret and John had at least three other siblings- Mary Catherine Brophy, [who lived and died in Ireland, leaving no children, and who married James Doyle (barrister)], Thomas Brophy and Andrew Brophy.

I am looking for any information on Thomas Elliott Brophy. I am unsure as to when and where he was born but know he died in South Africa in 1935. He had 5 children (Reginald Elliott, Ronald Elliot, Foster Elliot, Bessie Brophy)
