Can anyone tell me if there is really a place called Peterswell in Galway it does not seem to show up on the Griffiths Valuation yet that is where my ancestor said he came from.Help pleaseeeeeeee Roma

Peterswell is real! It's between Gort and Loughrea in the south of the county. Hope this helps. I have relatives from there.

Peterswell wouldn't show up in Griffiths it would be under Kilthomas. Its the old district. I live a mile from the village there are still many Joyce familys in the area. Hope it helps
