My name is Jade I am also looking for Ancestor's from Tuam. My grandfather was named John Joseph O'Connor he had a sister Peggy, bot were born earl 1900-1920 not exactly sure.

There parents were Mary Smith and John Joseph O'Connor, I know that he was a Master Tailor and later left Tuam and opened his own shop in Bolton, Lancashire.

Patrick O'Connor was a victualer in Bishop St. and he had 12 children by 2 wives, the second a widow with 6 of her own. My grandfather being the middle one of the last 6, his mother's name being Mary Barry(formerly Tierny). I hope this helps. Bye Rory

My grand mother Elizabeth Henrietta O'Connor is connected to Bishops Street Tuam. Her mother was Catherine O'Connor who I believe was widowed (to a Murphy) and then married again to an O' Connor. My great grandmother Catherine possibly had a sister Maria Henrietta O'Connor who married a James Daly who lived at 6 Bishops Street. Any connection anybody?
