Galway (county)
I am trying to trace mary b. 1805 galway and her husband patrick,born galway. by 1851 mary was a widow living in longton england with her children margaret b 1832, patrick cornelius b 1842 and mary b1845/6 all born in galway.I would be grateful for any help in trying to trace their origins.They were all catholic.
Hi, Im not sure if this is the family you are looking for, but my GGGG grandparents are
Patrick BRODERICK (b. abt 1800 Galway) and Mary Monaghan (b. abt 1803 Galway).
They were married in 1825 in Galway and had 5 children that I know of John (b. 1826), Patrick (b. 1829) Bridget (b. 1831 Tynagh Galway; d. 1914 Mota Tipperary ; married John Dynan - my GGG grandparents), Jeremiah ( b. abt 1833) and Judy (b. 1841).
Should be noted that the witnesses on my GGG mothers christening were Bridget Monaghan and Michael Broderick (aunt and uncle most likely)
I do have a record of Jeremiah living in Gortmunga Kilbarron at the time of the 1901 census he is living with John and Bridget.
