Hi, I was hoping someone might be able to help. I am researching my family tree and have gotten back to Thomas Fuery from Mount Bellew, Galway (born around 1842). Married to Mary and they had 8 children: William, Kate, Charles, Peter, James, Patrick, Francis & Sarah. I am hoping that someone will know or recognise any of these names.
They had 14 living children not 8.My Fuery family(spelt the same)Your family and mine are literate as per 1911 census so we can assume they are related as they spelt the surname the same.My family lived in Loughrea and Ballinasloe which is near Mt Bellew.William and Mary gr grandparents and Martin and Margaret grandparents.

Edward (my great grandfather) was another son of Thomas and Mary. He worked as a mailcoach driver for the Bianconi company and settled in Athlone in the late 1890's. The last of their children to live in Mountbellew were Kate and Nora (Nonie). Kate died in the late 1950's and Nonie emigrated shortly after to a town outside Boston to live with her brother John.
Can anyone supply me with the names of all 14 children as some (like my great grandfather) are not on the 1911 Census.

Hi. I am researching on my Great Grandfather, Edward Fuery. I know he was born in County Galway (think moylough/mountbellow) in approx 1896 and he somehow ended up in Athlone where he married Mary Anne Guinan from Kings Co/Offaly. They had approx 12 children, to include my maternal Grandfather, Edward Joseph Fuery/Furey (the spelling of the name changed at this point.
Can anyone help with any more information about my maternal Great Grandfather's parents and family in Galway?
