MARY ANNE CLERKIN OF MONAGHAN BORN 1827/8 CONVICTED OF STEALING A GOOSE AT FERMANAGH AND TRANSPORTED TO VAN DIEMENS LAND ON 5 MARCH 1847.SHE MARRIED JOHN MCCOY AT HOBART 9 MARCH 1853 AND THEY EMIGRATED TO NIGHTCAPS SOUTHLAND NEW ZEALAND WHERE SHE DIED 8 JAN 1905. TRYING TO TRACE THE CLERKIN FAMILY OR ANY RELEVANT INFO. THANKS

Greetings from NZ. Buddy McCoy my great grandmother had a halfway house Gropers Bush near Riverton before she shifted to the Nightcap/Wreys Bush area. Her husband John McCoy was lost in the swamps near Waimatuku whilst enroute to the Bluff from Riverton to pickup Biddy and the children. She is buried in the Wreys Bush cemetery
