I'm looking for the family/ancestors of Michael Wallace, born 12 Dec 1858 in Dublin. He married Elizabeth Downes from Westmeath on 09 Jan 1884 at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Chirch, Rathmines. The witnesses were Myles Wallace and Mary Byrne. The 1901 and 1911 census place Michael in Coolcronaun, Mayo, occupation Butler.
Michael was the son of Martin Wallace c1811, who died in Dublin on 02 Aug 1893, and Mary Sarah (surname unknown) c1825 who died in Dublin on 17 Apr 1890.
Myles or Miles Wallace who was the witness at the wedding was the son of Michael and Honor Wallace. He married Margaret Wallace, daughter of Pierce and Bridget Wallace in 1858 in Ballina, Mayo.
Clearly there were strong links between the Wallace families in Dublin and Mayo. If anyone has any information I would be very grateful.
