Byrne Family Dublin: Searching for wife's great grandfather
My wife's great grandfather was Charles Byrne born Oct 4th 1849 according to the Canadian registration of death. He left Dublin in 1881 with a ticket to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Charles stayed only briefly in Winnipeg and moved further west to Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. He had two, (possibly three) other brothers that immigrated to western Canada. Two settled near him in Prince Albert. The first, Peter Byrne born Feb. 23, 1852,according to the Canadian death registration form. Peter was married to Agnes ? also from Ireland. Peter and Agnes had a son born in Ireland (John Joseph Byrne)abt 1879. John was 2 years old at the time of the 1881 Canadian Census.
The second brother was Andrew Byrne born Aug. 12, 1857 or 1858.
There was speculation that another brother, John, had also immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
The parents of Charles, Peter, Andrew and John(?) were Patrick Byrne and wife Mary.If this Byrne saga rings a bell for someone, please contact me as we would appreciate any information that can be located. Thank you
