William McTear and Agnes Cairns settled in Saltcoats in Scotland with their daughter Sarah in 1862 from Newtownards. This was after Williams first wife had died.Settling with him in Saltcoats was his brother Robert and wife Jane Lundie Smith. Any information on the McTear family would be greatly appreciated.

Hello M N. It certainly is, it has also confirmed what I thought, but I could not prove as I always had real doubts about this marriage shown in the ' Scotlands People ' website as having taken place in central Glasgow in 1851. Thankyou very much.
