Looking for information on the Ryan's from the Bunratty area!I The Griffith's valuation list from 1850's shows a Thomas Ryan at Castlecrine,Sixmilebridge.This would be in Cratloe parish close to Bunratty.What may be causing some confusion is the name Bunratty-now famous because of it's restored castle and folk park for tourists.In the 19th century Buntatty Lower was the name of the barony(admin district)covering much of the area of SE Clare,incuding both parishes mentioned. My Ryan b.1835 he married a Sara/Nora Hickey in 1856-55 migrated to OZ any one any ideas!
