Looking for information on a JAMES MOORE, B. abt.1864 in CLONDAGAD, COUNTY CLARE.fathers name RICHARD. Mothers maiden name possibly KEANE. Was in the DUBLIN POLICE FORCE??? in the early 1880`s,left under a cloud and went to ENGLAND and joined the BRITISH ARMY(RGA)by the name of KEANE. Attained the rank of SGT. MAJOR and died in FAREHAM HAMPSHIRE in 1905. His parents and siblings I am particularly interested in.

I am the great grand-daughter of James Keane and Emily Lambert. My grandfather was Leonard Lambert Keane who was also in the Army and served with his younger brother Roland who was sadly killed in WW1 at Etaples when he was only 22 years old. Perhaps you were given his name in memory of him. I have lots of details and even a lovely photograph of the Keane family taken in Fareham in the early 1900's showing James, Emily and their family, my grandfather being about 10 or 12 years old with his brother Dudley and sister Sherleye.
