Hi.
Ive hit a brick wall.
Martin Murphy and his wife Ellen nee Walsh.
Ive traced them since 1851 when they immigrated to Sth Australia aged 31, but finding them in Ireland has been very difficult. (Thats makes his birth abour 1820)
Martin Murphy is not a common name, and only 4 are listed on the Griffiths valuations. But which one is he..?
Martin had a brother who also came to Australia, and his name is Thaddeus. Also, not a common name, so youd think this would make things easier. 5 of them listed on the Giffiths valutaions.
I cant find either in any birth, or baptism registers.
None of the big genealogists websites, eg, ancestry.co, find my past...etc have any Martins or Thaddeus's.
Can anyone suggest where I should go from here to find their birth or baptism records?
