Hello folks :-) Im wondering if theirs anyone on this website that has Nolan or Dolan family connections with Blacklion. Ok this is what I know so far; my great grandfather John James Nolan immigrated to the U.S. in 1916 from Blacklion, Killinagh, Co. Cavan Ireland, married my great grandmother Anna Glynn, lived in Hudson county New Jersey, he died on the 5th of December in 1942 and is buried at the HolyCross cemetary in North Arlington New Jersey. According to the 1901 Irish census in Killinagh my great grandfather was about age 4 with 2 younger sisters Mary and Kate, Patrick Nolan was his father, His mother was Susan Nolan(maiden name: Dolan) His grandfather was Peter Nolan that was born in Co. Fermanagh Ireland and his grandmother Mary Nolan was blind. My great grandfather was also a war war 1 or 2 veteran. My great grandfather also had a son Patrick Francis Nolan(my grandfather) that was born July 30th 1922 in Jersey City, Hudson, New Jersey and passed away about March of 1996 in Beltsville, Prince George's, Maryland.
