My mother, maiden name Joan Baines Jones, married name Joan Barry was born March 1928 to Daisy Baines/Barnes, her birth mother left 6 mths later,she was adopted in Belfast 1936. I'm trying to find out what her experience in Armagh might have been, how did she get to Belfast? What was their rules for unmarried mothers and their children, was Daisy forced to leave her, a school attached to the workhouse or national school used by them where I might find records
