Beaver family
Does anyone have any knowledge or information concerning this name please. Esther Beaver came to England ca 1840 with her husband John Durey. John Durey was English, went to Ireland, married Esther, had 3 children then they all returned to England. She is reported to have married beneath her so maybe her family owned land?21/05/2007 6:43 pm

Re: Beaver family
I have an ancestor Jane Beavor / Beaver b Abt. 1792 Ireland, who was apparently disinherited from her family for marrying John Thomas Burton, b Abt. 1876, a protestant from Tyrone, Ireland that worked on her fathers estate. He had also served in the military in Ireland against the Defenders under his father, so no idea where exactly John and Jane met. She is presumed to have been catholic. They moved to Canada circa 1830 with five children: Thomas b 1817; Elizabeth b 1820; Margaret b 1826; Mary Jane b 1826; and, Sarah b 1830.***If you wish to email wdsmudge, Subscribe and use the Private Message (PM) links
