My 2x gt. grandfather was Owen Hardie, born Sligo,c 1814. His father was also Owen Hardie.
Could Harte/Hardie be the same name? I'm wondering if it could have been changed when he arrived in England. I know of his life, marriage, etc, here in England, but nothing of his ancestors, and, ultimately,mine.
