Looking for information on a John Doyle who rode in the Charge of the Light Brigade at Balaclava.
Born about 1828, possibly at Birr parish, Offaly. He published a brief memoir in Manchester about 1877. Had a brother, Patrick
He enlisted in the 8th Hussars at Newbridge in 1850.
May have been related to Doyles in Birr in Griffiths Valuation.
