Beggins
My grandfather was Bernard Beggins from Clones. I think his father was Edward Beggins who had a grocers shop which sat at the crossroads. Looking for more info. Danny Beggan 27/08/2009 5:51 pm

Hi Daniel,
My grandfather's mother was Catherine Beggins. She married Thomas Foy in Glasgow in 1876. Catherine's father was Bernard Beggins; mother was Agatha. My grandfather and his brothers and sisters were all born in Ireland - I think in Fermanagh, then returned to Glasgow. possibly a connection ...

Beggins family
My husband is a Beggins and I am trying to trace his ancestry. His grandfather James Beggins married Margaret Brennan in Belfast in 1907. His father was Daniel Beggins and the only traces I have of him are in Belfast at one time living in Frederick Street. He married Rose O'Neill. Their other childred were Ellen, Mary who married Henry Kelly, Rose who married William Doran,Catherine and Josephine and possibly more. Do not know where the Beggins family originally came from or Rose O'Neill. Any help would be appreciated.

Beggins from Frederick Street, Belfast
Hello!
This is in reply to Rita Beggins.
I have a great-grandfather called Daniel Beggins who lived in Frederick Street.
His father was Daniel Beggins.
Presumably my Daniel and your James were brothers.
I have a garbled version of the family structure. The important thing at this point is that it includes the names Ellen, Rose, Josephine, Mary (wife of a Mr. Kelly)...
You will find some of them living in 3 Frederick Street in the 1911 census; Winifred is my grandmother.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
