im looking were patrick mcgowan and margaret deary are dearin were from, they left ireland about 1850 with there 5 children and went to scotland there names were catherine john margaret bridget and andrew,

the names were Patrick Mcgowan and Margaret Dearin they also had William I think was Margaret's twin brother they then had Patrick and Mary in Scotland.William McGowan was my gg grandfather he married Margaret Mumford had a daughter named Isabella who married Thomas Regan and they had a son Andrew Regan ( my grandfather)who married Annie Kerrigan on the 29th Sept 1922 they had my dad thomas Regan Kerrigan on the 22nd July 1921 and gave him up to be raised by the Druggan family but he still kept imn contact with his natural family until we came to Australia in 1965 if you would like further info email me at ***

my granfather john mcgowan 1860 came from foxford had a brother patrick, father was also john who was a farmer.would like to know more.
Having a little difficulty finding one Patrick Mc Gowan. Patrick declared born 10 Feb 1854 when he became a US citizen however the family has always thought him to be the son of Patrick and Mary Carbine born 4 Feb 1849 Carrowmor Moy, Balleyhowley........... Cannot verify.
Patrick is found living Clitheroe England in 1871 in home of Michael Quinn and his spouse Margaret Doyle. Patrick married Margaret's sister Mary in Sts Michael and John, Clitheroe where their first son William was born and baptized, 1883. The Doyle women were the daughters of Patrick (son of Patrick) and Catherine Connelly (William Connelly and Margaret Connors). These families all left Clitheroe for Fall River, Massachusetts.
This Patrick McGowan also said to have middle initial 'L'. Also, he was witness at the trial of Lizzie Borden.
