Hi,

I want to know if anybody can help me. My grandfather lived on the Creagh Road in Ballinrobe Co. Mayo and left Ireland in the early 1950's and has been living in Australia since.

He is 84 years old, living and wants some history on where he came from as do I.

Does anyone know these people:

James Bannon - Living ( Australia )
Thomas Bannon - Deceased
Margaret Bannon / Cooney - Deceased
Michael Cooney - Deceased

I recently visited Ballinrobe and could not find where they were laid to rest. Can anyone shed some light on this also?

Michael Cooney served as a soldier in Rathmines in Dublin and I would estimate late 40's early 50's he died in Portobello in Dublin trying to save a mother and baby from drowning when their car went through the railings on the bridge. The car collapsed on top of him.

Any info from anyone would be greatly appreciated.
