Limerick (county)
I am trying to trace my Roche-Kennedy ancestors. Apparently, Mary Roche (born 1843) married Thomas Kennedy (born 1839) in 1864. As far as I can tell, both were from Kilmallock, Limerick.
They had at least five daughters: Margaret (1876), Johanna (1868), Mary (1870), Helena (1871) and Bridget (1876) and at least one son, James (1865). I am trying to establish whether or not the son, James, moved to America, married an Irish woman called Sarah Magee and had two children, James and Rose Kennedy born circa 1890 in Boston. Does this ring any bells? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My Great Grandfather was John McGee/Magee born 1872 and his father was James McGee. He was in the Coldstream Guards and listed his place of birth as Glen West which is 4 miles from Garrison, Fermanagh. My mother told me that there was a Rose Kennedy (not the famous one) in the family. John McGee also went to USA. I have traced the rest of his family in Glen West through census returns.
Given the number of similarities I feel Sarah Magee may be a sister to John. I have more information if you are interested.
