I am trying to find onfo on Edward Allen b.1875 (father was Richard Allen, no mothers name). I think he was born in Kilkenny with Mooncoin and Callan having been mentioned. He married Margaret Hanna in Warrenpoint (Co Down) in 1901

Edward Allen was born in Mooncoin on the 12th (and baptised on the 14th) of March 1875 to Richard Allen and Catherine Spencer. Sponsors were James Walsh and Mary Howley.

That's really interesting. I am the Gt Grand daughter of Edward Allen and Margaret Hanna (nee). I have been tracing my ancestry for some years now but over the last 3 tears have come to a stand still. Are you related to Edward in any way. I would love to hear more if you have ant additional info. Thank you so much.

I live in the place your great grandfather was born and have been researching my ancestors for years along with who they married. Edward had a sister Mary Allen
born 10-10-1873 who married James Power. One of their children married a cousin of mine.
Your great great grandparents were were Richard Allen and Catherine Spenser. They were married on 5th September 1871 in Mooncoin. Sponsors were John White and Catherine Keeffe. Your 2 great grandfather Richard Allen was born in Mooncoin on 19th September 1845 to Patt Allen and Elenor Aylward. Sponsors were Michael Purcell and Mary Dunphy. I know the exact place where the Allen house stood.
Am I correct in assuming your name is Elaine ? Can you tell me your country of residence.
