Hello, I am looking for the family of my ggrandfather Edward Griffith. He married Annie Hayes in the Church of Ireland, Cathedral Oldleighlin, Parish of Leighlin, County Carlow, Ireland on the 12th May 1885. I know from the marriage record his father was John Griffith and a James Griffith was a witness to the marriage, I am assuming he was Edward's brother? I know from my mom and aunt that Edward also had a brother John who immigrated to Vars, Ontario, Canada, my grandmother lost touch with John's family when my mom was still a young girl.
My grandmother, Elizabeth Hayes Griffith was born and raised in Johnswell, Ossory Hill, County Kilkenny and immigrated to Ontario, Canada in 1921, her 5 sisters immigrated as well. They had a brother Richard who remained in Ireland but died before I began my search. I know my ggrandfather Edward died in 1916 as my mother said her grandfather died when my grandmother was only 16 yrs old.
I would greatly appreciate any help at all.
