Researching Dominick Corbett b. 1837 Turkstown, Kilkenny (son John Corbett and Anastasia "Anty" Grace) A carpenter he left Ireland before before 1855 when he appears with mother and brother Patrick in Taunton MA state census. He later appears in New London, Conn. in 1860 US census. In July-Sept 1861 he appears as a marriage witness in St. Johnsbury VT. He appears to have settled there that year.where he married Mary Shea in 1867. (my great grandparents) Had a brother Richard b. 1830 who disappeared in northern California , a brother Patrick who married and remained in Taunton MA and one other sibling b. 1839 whose name is illegible in records. Anastasia appears in Griffiths Valuation, civil parish of Fiddown, townland of Turkstown. Possibly 3 other children since Anastasia appears in 1860 Taunton MA census with three other children Ellen b 1839, William, b 1842 and Johanna b. 1843 all Ireland. They were not present in the earlier 1855 census.
