I am looking to find info on my great great grandfather William Gray Patrick Bottomley
he died in an dynamite explosion at a factory in South Africa in 1904
according to some records we have he was married to Josephine Bottomley, maiden surname Styde
he might have been born in Belfast

William Gray Porter/Patrick Bottomley was married to Josephine Hyde, the daughter of William Hyde and Agnes McCormick. I believe he was born in Belfast and I've been trying to find out what happened to him for some time. Josephine died quite soon after they married, I believe she was living with her father at 2 Upper Clifton, Bangor, Co Down, at the time. I suspected WGPB had died on active service abroad.
I'm going to email you because I have lots of information about the family, including a copy of William Hyde's will in which he makes provision for William GPB and Josephine's daughter (Josephine Patricia Bottomley). We are cousins, my great grandmother (Marrianne/ Mary Ann/ Annie) was one of William Hyde's daughters, and Josephine's older sister.
