Parnell Place, Dublin 1934
Hello
My name is Thomas
I`m living in Norway trying to trace my relative family in Ireland.
My grandmother Mary Fitzwilliam birth registered her child Joseph (My dad) in Donnybrooke No1 Co Dublin in 1934. According to the birthcert she lived in 3 Parnell Place
Today Parnell Place looks like it located around Parnell St, North inner city, but that was probably not the name on that street i 1934..
(Parnell Street was Great Britain Street, Parnell Square was Rutland Square in 1911)
On a visit to Dublin City Library, (Pearce St) last summer I discovered looking in the address book from 1934 that Parnell Place did not exist. None of the staff at the library could fully explain this.
And now after the census of 1911 has been relased on the internet i find Parnell Place in the "Rathmines & Rathgar West" part of dublin
Question:
I cant find Parnell Place i that part of Dublin. Anyone know where this is??
And even better
Does anyone know something about my grandmother Mary Fitzwilliam.??
She was according to the birthcert living in Parnell Place 3 in 1934.
We have tried to find answers now for several years, but is completely fixed..
so if anyone can help, I am eternally grateful
