EDWARD J. JOHNSTON was an illegitimate son and secretary to Lord Lieutenant Richard Wellesley at Dublin Castle and Phoenix Park. Any information or search leads appreciated as to this Johnston family. His mother is listed as "special friend" in regard to his education by Mr. Page and the Duke of Wellington in the book THE SWORD.. Also reference to Edward and his brother is found in the book ARCHITECTS OF EMPIRE (14-13/415/420/423/442/462/468) and WELLINGTON, a personal history.(208n) JOHNSTON FAMILY INFORMATION APPRECIATED.
