Hi Everyone. "The White Family"
I'm trying to find info from my fathers family who lived in Rostrevor. The house/shop was next to the Pub in Bridge street. Across from the square and at the bus stop going to Kilkeel. My father had four brothers and four sisters. One brother and two sisters stayed in Ireland, one brother and two sisters went to Scotland, the twin brothers went to north England and the youngest went to Austrailia.
"The Donnan Family"
My mother is/was Elizabeth Donnan and had a sister and two brothers. Anyone who has lived in Rostrevor for more than Thirty years ago will know at least the youngest brother "Sammy Donnan". He used to deliver milk to the most part of Rostrevor. Anyone old enough Knows they used to live down the "Fairy Glen" in a small house near the Salmon Leap. They then move to The Green, Kilbroney below the cemetary on kilbroney road. The Green, a farm had cows from which they sold to the milk board. My aunties and uncles are all gone as with my parents.I new James Donnan (grandad)and my granmother but never new my granfather/mother from my father. It would be nice to hear from anyone that can tell me a little. A big thank you to any help you can give me.
