My gt gt grandparent were Ellen Barry of Cork and Nicholas Svombo, from Greece ~ possibly Hydra.
They married in Cobh (RC) and their first child, Lazaros, was baptised there (1855).
I also have a record for another Svombo baby, Ellen, baptised around the same time as Lazaros.
I would like to know more about the Barrys ~ where they lived, etc.
Ellen Svombo, nee Barry, had sisters: Julia & Margaret (I think!) and a brother named Garrett. They all move to Cardiff.
I'd love to hear from anyone connected ~ or who has any ideas.

Just an update. It looks as if our Ellen Barry had only one sibling, after all; sister Julia, who married James Neagle in Cardiff. Their parents may have been Garrett Barry and Catherine Connell, of Queenstown / Cobh.
