my mcauliffe family said they came from waterford but i think it was cork john and his sister eliza said there father was a daniel mcauliffe farmer who by 1854 was dead john mcauliffe married a mary mahony about 1853 onwards we think that some of the sibling went to america .in 1881 there was a thomas murphy who was a relitive with the mcauliffe clan in seaham durham england john was born about 1827 and family names maurice, william ,anne .eliza,mary,thomas edward ,theresa,danile there could be a catherine who was also in the durham area about the 1861 census time any one missing some family
Hi most McAuliffe's came from the Newmarket, Co.Cork Region in the Barony of Duhallow this is where the McAuliffe Clan ruled this area for hundreds of years. Before Brirish rule took over. Good place to start who be this area.
