I believe George McELWAINE (or variation!) b about 1831 in Cavan is my 2nd great-grandfather. I have him married to Anne JOHNSTON on 14 April 1843 at Presbyterian Meeting House, Bellasis, Parish of Lurgan, Cavan. I have their children as Samuel, John James, Margaret, Annie Jane, Mary Ann (or Marion), Henry, George & Thomas all born in Cavan - the first four at Greaghodossan. Looking for confirmation and more ancestry details.
