Armagh (county)
I am looking for info regarding James Rodgers who claims on his army papers he was born Loughgall April 2nd 1796. I don't know how true this is though.
I know that after leaving army with rank of Paymaster (26th regiment of foot)he returned to Armagh and in 1840s was living at Eden Cottage, Cloven Eden.
He claims he was married to Mary but I don't know maiden name. Several children - Lavinia 1823, John 1820 (my Gt,Gt Gfather), Ellen 1824 and Robert James.
Robert James was born 1828 and is the most likely to have returned to Ireland with his father in late 1830s.
Any help about this family or possible links about them or info regarding Eden Cottage etc would be most helpful.
