Babe-Gailey
Go to paperspast.natlib.govt.nz, then Southern Cross, Thurs 8th Jan 1863, page 3 and you'll find the 'Cairngorms' arrival. I'm also a Babe descendant, through Wright's son, Benjamin, whose daughter Muriel was my grandmother. I have some info on the family, feel free to contact me off-forum and we can compare notes. Wright Babe
Hi... My wife is a direct descendent of Wright Babe.. We have an almost complete family tree of his descendents.. My wife is the daughter of Mavis nee Babe... Mavis Babe is now about 83 years of age and lives in Auckland. If you would like further info please email me.. There is quite a large family of New Zealand Babes... Bev would be evry keen to know of the Irish History as well... if you have it maybe in GEDCOM file
