Hi I have just joined and am researching my g.g. grandfather John Crone. I think he could have been born in St Andrews Newtown Breda is it in 'Down' or 'Antrim' and has anyone heard of Crons/Crones from that area? He came to Scotland and married in 1858 in Whithorn Wigtownshire. I am finding it very hard to trace Irish ancestors as I have more on my granny's side. Any help will be dived on and gobbled up

Hi Glenda, Although I am unable to help in your search I would like to let you know that I too have had difficulty tracing my Irish Ancestors.I have been waiting on this forum since December for a reply. Unfortunately we just have to be patient.

sorry I have just this minute read your reply as I gave the research a miss for a while as I seemed to be at a dead end.
