I am looking for any imformation about the Corbett family.All I know is that they left Ireland during the potato famine and ended up in India where my gran married my grandad Alfred Kelly in Delhi in 1920.My grans maiden name was Nora Dorothy Corbett and her fathers name was Micheal Corbett.
Hi, I'm also descended from Norah Dorothy and Alfred Kelly, I didn't know the Corbetts left during the potato famine, that's really interesting. I've struggled to find information on Michael Corbett but have found records of him in India where he is listed as a wine and spirit merchant. I can't find a record of his death but he is listed on the death certificate of one of his daughters in 1918 ( Mary Kathleen ) as the Late Michael Corbett. Norah's mother Ellen died in India in 1933, I'm not sure of her maiden name but think it may be FItzhenry.
